Last weekend during the Invitational we unfortunately had a few issues with illegal plays; these were the result of either general player error (moving too fast, being too comfortable with your opponent, etc) or a bit of unsportsmanlike angle shooting; we can’t know now the intention or cause but we do know they were mis or illegal plays.

Unfortunately they we’re not brought to our attention until after the fact. So we want to take a moment to remind all our players that while there may not be a sanctioned judge present, if there is a misplay or illegal game action you need to call for a judge. As a store we do not condone angle shooting, and want to facilitate a competitive environment; so misplays, however innocent, need to be dealt with accordingly.
However, we cannot resolve misplays or illegal game actions if we are unaware of them. We appreciate players not wanting to ruffle feathers, but the game isn’t the game if the rules aren’t abided by, so we implore you, call judge if its necessary.
Wizards judge or no, illegal plays are illegal plays and need to be handled appropriately, you just have to let us know.
